Traffic stop near Roberts yields meth, heroin
A North Dakota man was found to have almost half a pound of methamphetamine in his car after a traffic stop April 8.
According to an Idaho State Police press release, Michael J. Wrobel, of Wildrose, N.D., was traveling on Interstate 15 near milepost 130, close to Roberts.
Idaho State Police troopers conducted a traffic stop and a K9 unit alerted police to the presence of drugs. A search was conducted and 400 to 500 grams of methamphetamine were recovered, a small amount of heroin.
The value of the methamphetamines is approximately $6,000 to $8,000.
He was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of heroin.
He was booked into Jefferson County Jail where he is being held on a $150,000 bond. He will appear before Magistrate Judge Robert L. Crowley Jr., for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. April 20 in Jefferson County Courts.
