Strupp celebrates 90th birthday
Bud Lynn Strupp, of Rigby, will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house held in his honor from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Rigby Senior Center, 391 Community Lane, Rigby. No gifts, please.
He was born in Annis on March 19, 1927. He married True Campbell on Oct. 5, 1950. She later passed away. On Aug. 10, 1990, he married Joyce Walker Strupp.
He worked at the INL, Idaho Falls Consolidated Hospitals, Ucon Produce and many other places over his lifetime before his retirement. He served as mayor of Ucon for 14 years, and on the Ucon City Council for two years.
He enjoys woodworking, gardening and mechanics.
His children are: John Strupp (deceased); Bradley (Peggy) Strupp, of Crane, Mont.; Karen (David) Olsen, of Blackfoot; Karl (Kim) Strupp, of Shelley; Susanne (Don) Philips, of Idaho Falls; Kristine Keppner, of Idaho Falls; Brenda (Dell) Olsen, of Logan, Utah; Brian (Karla) Strupp, of Baton Rouge, La.; Alan Strupp, of Helena, Mont.; and Layne (Heather) Strupp, of Blackfoot.
He has 38 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
