Clark County track begins tomorrow
DUBOIS—The Water District 31 Camas Creek, Beaver Creek and Tributaries meeting is at 1 p.m. March 15 in Dubois. The Birch Creek and Medicine Lodge District meetings were held on March 14.
The Easter Idaho Public Health office is open today at 9 a.m. at their office off of Main Street.
The March Search and Rescue meeting is at the courthouse beginning at 7 p.m. March 15.
The Clark County Schools Music and Drama Department is sponsoring their annual Potato Bar Concert and Fundraiser at the Lindy Ross Elementary March 15 at 6 p.m., under the direction of Michelle Stewart, the school music instructor. The concert will be after the meal. Proceeds from this event are earmarked for music, repair of instruments and to help the band travel for competitions.
The end of the third quarter for the Clark County schools is March 16.
Payton and Paige Shenton, Clark County High School seniors, were selected to play in the District 6 all-star basketball games at the Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls last Wednesday. Both played on the West Team, both of their games were the winners, the boys won 49-34 and the girls won 48-32. Their teams represented players from Butte County, Clark County, Ririe, South Fremont and Teton. On the boys team Clark County’s Payton Shenton scored 10 points.
Clark County School’s week of Spring Break will begin on March 20.
The Clark County High School track team will take part in their first meet of the season at the Firth Track meet March 16 at 2:30 p.m.
A position is now available on the Dubois City Council following the city March meeting. At that time council member Annette Eddins was named city mayor, her former position as council member was vacated following her resignation. Letters of intent for the city council member are due to the City Office by March 27.
The U. S. Sheep Experiment Station is in the process of getting ready to begin their spring lambing operations the latter part of March.
Many of the area cattle ranchers are now busy with their spring calving.
Former resident, Myrna Peebles, whose husband, Steve, served as Clark County County Agent, and then later the family returned to St. Anthony, passed away March 7. Her funeral was March 11, at the St. Anthony Community Presbyterian Church with interment at the St. Anthony Riverview Cemetery. A number of friends of the area attended her viewing and services.
Bonnie Stoddard, of Dubois, visited Mary Small and Bob Bates this past Saturday afternoon in Idaho Falls where they are residents at the Morning Star Retirement Center.
